I started gymnastics when I was just 5 years old at Creative Schelle, where I quickly fell in love with tumbling.
At the same time, I began my journey in acro at Ambitious Pro Gymnastics.

It didn’t took long till I got to compete for the first time as a top with Femke in the “I” category. We won a lot of medals in the Belgian competition and ended our season with a fourth place in a higher level internationally. Alltough we didn’t took home a medal, a 4th place was completely unexpected after only training for a month in that level. From there, things took off quickly!

A new partnership and again a lot of Belgian medals and really high scores for technicality and artistry.
Not long after, I had the chance to compete internationally again. Together with my partners Alina and Anika, we headed to Portugal for the MIAC competition, where we took home a silver medal! The excitement from that achievement only pushed me to work harder.

The next year, again a new partnership, in the A category this time, again Belgian medals and I returned to the Maia International Acro Cup, this year partnering with Sofie Jaeken, and we won gold!

But shortly after coming back to Belgium, the world changed as we went into lockdown.
Even though everything stopped, I kept training on my own, determined not to lose progress.

That year, some other incredible thing happened: at 10 years old, I was invited to join Topsport Vlaanderen in Ghent as the youngest gymnast on the team. Moving to boarding school and training with Lauren and Sofie
and later with Tuur under the guidance of Elyne and Sergei, the top coaches for acrobatic gymnastics in Belgium, was an incredible step in my journey as a young athlete.

All of that stopped when we found out that I have a rare bone disease.
